Plan for a sunny afternoon off the beaten path -- at the Elrod Falls Recreation area for a picnic, family reunion, church gathering, or other event. Out-of-towners, stay at River Place Cabins down the road in Kyles Ford, overlooking the Clinch River and ecologically crucial mussel shoals at Kyles Ford WMA.
